In October 2018, Expedia Group acquired two start-ups: ApartmentJet and Pillow. Both companies had found success building short-term rental technology for the multifamily industry. ApartmentJet’s founders had years of multifamily experience. Pillow’s founders had years of short-term and vacation rental management experience. Together, along with members of the Vrbo team, the two companies now form the backbone of Expedia Group Multifamily Solutions.

The suite of software tools that power our new Flexible Living Platform will be known as Flex.
